About the role

Kraken is looking for a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join its Pro team, which builds high‑performance trading applications for professional users. The role is fully remote and focuses on developing and maintaining Kraken’s flagship Pro mobile platform using React Native.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality mobile applications with React Native.
• Set and enforce standards for clean, maintainable code across the team.
• Influence technical decisions and contribute to product and domain strategy.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers, providing constructive feedback.
• Stay current with emerging tools and trends, mastering multiple technologies.
• Design scalable, fault‑tolerant systems using best‑practice architecture and design patterns.
• Lead complex initiatives and drive process improvements across teams.

Required profile

• 6+ years of software development experience, primarily on web and mobile applications.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to shipping high‑quality products quickly.
• Self‑motivated, able to thrive in a fast‑paced, remote environment.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Proficiency with React Native frameworks.
