Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to strengthen our Business Banking credit platform. You will design and build core credit services that enable businesses to access secured and unsecured lending responsibly.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain core credit services for secured and unsecured lending.
• Create resilient, event‑driven systems that scale with business change.
• Lead engineering quality, delivery and technical decision‑making within a cross‑functional squad.
• Partner closely with product and architecture teams to solve complex problems.
• Improve platform stability, performance and recovery through thoughtful design.
• Contribute to new initiatives such as vehicle and asset finance with collateral.

Required profile

• Strong experience as a Senior Software Engineer or a capable engineer ready to step up.
• Solid Java experience with Spring Boot in production environments.
• Hands‑on experience with event‑driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Track record of building scalable, resilient backend services under real load.
• Confidence working in complex domains with multiple stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset, curiosity and technical leadership.
• Exposure to AI or agent‑based systems is a plus.
