Senior Service Manager - Middelburg

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, technically strong Senior Service Manager to lead a high‑performance field engineering team across Southern Africa. The role combines deep mining and field‑service expertise with commercial acumen to drive innovation, operational excellence and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise work of Field Engineers, Supervisors and Technicians.
• Build and maintain executive‑level technical relationships.
• Review and approve quotations and work scopes for engineering projects.
• Ensure workflow efficiency and meet or exceed SLA KPIs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Projects and Product Development to deliver innovative solutions.
• Lead project teams on upgrades, automation installations and other technical initiatives.
• Support parts, logistics and third‑party supplier management.
• Apply advanced data analytics (Telematics / Wisdom technologies) to improve performance.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes, systems and business KPIs.
• Maintain high‑quality workmanship and ISO compliance.
• Develop new business opportunities and expand services in the region.
• Mentor, coach and develop leadership capability within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• More than 10 years of senior leadership or management experience.
• Over 10 years of mining industry experience.
• Over 10 years of field service engineering or similar technical experience.
