Senior Sales Specialist – EPC Sales

About the role

The Senior Sales Specialist – EPC Sales will drive revenue growth across Southern Africa by selling Hitachi Energy’s products, systems and services to international and local EPC contractors. The role combines customer relationship management, market development and strategic sales planning while requiring frequent travel within the assigned regions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage both international and local EPCs, traveling across Africa as needed.
• Sell products, systems and services to meet volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned business units.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to understand needs and present comprehensive solutions.
• Collaborate with country sales teams on business strategies and EPC partnerships.
• Prepare sales plans, conduct status reviews and propose recovery actions for potential order shortfalls.
• Develop offers in coordination with bid, proposal and marketing teams, ensuring accurate technical and financial details.
• Manage the CRM tool to track projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Identify new market opportunities and share knowledge across teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development and sales within the Power Grids sector.
• Proven track record of selling projects and products to EPCs.
• Good understanding of the EPC landscape in Southern Africa.
• ECSA professional registration is desirable.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools for project tracking and sales management.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic engineering concepts relevant to power grid solutions.
