Senior Reservations Consultant - Luxury Safari Group

About the role

Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Senior Reservations Consultant for an exclusive luxury safari group, based in either Johannesburg or Cape Town. The role suits a confident travel professional with a strong background in high-end reservations, luxury travel or bespoke safari sales. You will handle reservations across the group's properties and arrange additional travel services through selected third-party suppliers, working closely with international travel partners and guests to create personalised itineraries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage enquiries, quotations and reservations for properties within the group.
• Design bespoke itineraries combining safari stays, other accommodation and travel experiences.
• Coordinate third-party bookings such as transfers, tours and flights.
• Build strong relationships with international travel advisors, DMCs and guests.
• Turn enquiries into confirmed bookings and spot opportunities for itinerary extensions and extra services.
• Prepare accurate quotations, confirmations and travel documentation.
• Liaise with lodge teams and suppliers on guest preferences and special requests.
• Manage booking details, availability and margins accurately.
• Assist with changes and resolve travel queries calmly and efficiently.

Required profile

• At least five years' experience in luxury travel, safari reservations, sales or high-end DMC operations.
• Proven experience with high-end properties and discerning international travellers.
• Experience planning tailor-made itineraries and coordinating multiple suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of South Africa's safari regions, Cape Town and the Winelands.
• Excellent written and verbal English, with strong organisation, attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Ability to support international clients across different time zones and to work in a hybrid arrangement.

Required skills

• Travel reservation systems and Microsoft Office.
• Tourplan experience is advantageous.
