About the role

Armstrong Appointments is looking for an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join its national remote team. This senior‑level position focuses on managing a specialist recruitment desk, building trusted client relationships, and delivering high‑quality placements across South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a specialist recruitment desk and maintain a robust pipeline of vacancies.
• Develop and nurture long‑term relationships with corporate clients.
• Source, interview, and present high‑calibre candidates to meet client needs.
• Negotiate offers and close placements to achieve billing targets.
• Collaborate with the support team for administrative and technical assistance.

Required profile

• Proven track record in agency recruitment, preferably at a senior level.
• Demonstrable success managing a specialist desk and delivering consistent placements.
• Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to build trust and credibility.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• LinkedIn Recruiter (or equivalent professional networking tools).
• VOIP switchboard telephone systems.
