Senior Platform Engineer – DevOps

About the role

Lesaka is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation and automation of our containerised infrastructure. You will work closely with software and cloud teams to ensure high‑performance, reliable services for our FinTech products.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and enable fast, reliable releases.
• Develop and automate operational processes to improve efficiency and minimise manual effort.
• Collaborate with software engineers to optimise application performance and reliability.
• Apply best practices for infrastructure‑as‑code, configuration management and monitoring.
• Assist Cloud Engineers in implementing cloud architecture and ensuring seamless operation between Kubernetes clusters and cloud services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in FinTech or a similar industry.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Terraform / OpenTofu, Terragrunt and Terraform Pull Request automation.
• Containerisation and orchestration technologies (OCI runtimes, Kubernetes).
• ArgoCD or FluxCD.
• Version control systems and CI/CD tools (Git, GitLab, GitHub, Tekton).
• Scripting or programming in Python, Bash or Golang.
• Experience with AWS (strong plus).
