Senior Planner - Fabiani

About the role

The Planner III (Fabiani) is responsible for mentoring the Merchandise Planning Team, projecting future sales into key categories and optimising planning processes. The role covers range assortment and replenishment, distribution strategies and guidance to team members.

Key responsibilities

• Drive product efficiencies and commercial measures such as sales, markdowns, inventory and sales margin
• Develop category strategic, tactical and operational plans to meet targets
• Manage range assortments and store-level distribution with the buyer, and oversee replenishment of key lines
• Manage OTB allowances for in-season and forward budgets
• Attend product launches, buying appointments and seasonal range selections
• Analyse weekly sales performance with the buying team and propose trading strategies
• Present weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual performance in trade and senior management meetings
• Collaborate with Buying, Planning, Marketing, VM and Operations, and influence change initiatives
• Work with the allocator on allocation and grading, and manage delivery performance and stock flow
• Propose and execute markdown strategies and conduct regular store visits

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business or a related quantitative field
• At least 5 years' experience as a Planner in retail apparel, with strong knowledge of merchandising and commercial performance
• Menswear experience highly advantageous; premium branded apparel experience preferred
• Strong background in merchandise financial systems; Arthur Planning or similar tools advantageous
• Numerical acumen, analytical and forecasting skills, and excellent communication and teamwork skills
