Senior Payroll And Systems Administrator

About the role

GeT Metal Group is seeking a Senior Payroll and Systems Administrator to join its Somerset West site. This full‑time, on‑site position will own end‑to‑end payroll processing while managing the associated HR information systems across the group’s industrial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with South African tax and labour regulations.
• Maintain and update employee records in the payroll and HRIS platforms.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimise payroll and HRIS systems to support data integrity and process efficiency.
• Collaborate daily with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll queries and reconcile payroll data.
• Prepare payroll reports, support internal and external audits, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Implement system enhancements and help standardise payroll and HR processes across the group.

Required profile

• Strong experience in full‑cycle payroll administration within South Africa.
• Proven knowledge of statutory deductions, tax compliance and labour legislation.
• Relevant qualification in Payroll, Finance, Human Resources or a related field; professional payroll/HR certifications are a plus.
• Experience in an industrial, manufacturing or heavy‑industry environment is beneficial.
