Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Mventech is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its engineering department in Centurion, South Africa. You will work on cutting‑edge mining projects, designing and optimizing mechanical systems such as material handling, water, compressed‑air and other plant services for both local and international mines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, monitor and implement mechanical engineering systems for mining operations.
• Provide technical advisory services throughout project development, construction and operation, including due‑diligence and performance assessments.
• Perform mechanical system analysis, modelling and simulation to compare design alternatives.
• Develop and refine tools and techniques for system simulations.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategic planning, product development and new technology introductions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level mechanical engineer with proven experience in the mining or industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems for material, water and air transport.
• Ability to conduct technical due‑diligence, performance assessments and project management tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presenting findings.
