About the role
The mining company in Gauteng is seeking a well‑presented Section Engineer to join its team on a permanent basis. The position offers a salary range of R1.7 million to R1.8 million per year and requires a Government Certificate of Competency (Mines & Works). The successful candidate will oversee engineering activities within the underground operation, ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act, and coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams. Applicants must have at least five years of experience as a certified engineer under the Mine Health and Safety Act and a minimum of five years of underground experience.
Required profile
- B.Eng./BSc degree or National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) for Mines and Works.
- At least five years of experience as an appointed Certified Engineer under the Mine Health and Safety Act.
- Minimum five years of underground mining experience.
