Senior Manager Security

About the role

The Senior Manager Security will lead multi‑disciplinary teams delivering security services for Sasol’s Secunda Operations, mines and owned residential properties. The role is responsible for designing, adapting and integrating security systems and processes to meet legislative and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the security services strategy and operating model within agreed timeframes.
• Provide and manage security services across Sasol OME’s, covering surface and underground operations, according to service catalogue and delivery criteria.
• Lead consultation for new projects, developments and changes to existing ways of work to ensure successful delivery.
• Control implementation of permit systems, investigations, technical and specialized services, access control, control‑room and electronic access solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through benchmarking best practices and documenting core processes per Sasol governance.
• Identify and implement road‑safety operations and oversee security systems design, installation, programming, maintenance and user training.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large, multi‑disciplinary security teams in an industrial or mining environment.
• Strong understanding of legal responsibilities, government security regulations and industry standards.
• Ability to analyse, interpret and apply changes to systems, processes and operating methodologies.
• Excellent strategic thinking, resource coordination and cost‑management capabilities.
