Senior Maintenance Millwright - Blow Moulding

About the role

A well-established manufacturer in the Vaal Triangle, Gauteng, is looking for a senior, hands-on Millwright to lead technical fault-finding on its blow moulding production lines. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the millwright restores production quickly, improves equipment reliability, guides fellow artisans and helps commission new machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
• Carry out planned and predictive maintenance with accurate CMMS records
• Perform root-cause analysis on repeat and critical breakdowns
• Install and commission new blow moulding equipment

Required profile

• Trade-tested Millwright or Electromechanician (Red Seal or equivalent)
• At least five years of post-trade blow moulding maintenance experience
• Calm, safety-first judgement under production pressure
• Willingness to coach others and work rotational standby and call-out

Required skills

• Motor controls, VSDs, star-delta circuits and PLC I/O testing
• Hydraulics, pneumatics, proportional valves and temperature controls
• Precision alignment, gearboxes, pumps and bearings
