Senior Linux Engineer – High Availability Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to design, build and maintain high‑availability Linux infrastructure that powers critical production environments for a globally recognised brand.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver resilient, encrypted Linux solutions across multiple data centres.
• Implement and manage configuration, automation and monitoring for production systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues to ensure continuous availability.
• Perform backup, recovery and security hardening, including patching and SELinux policies.
• Provide remote support using SSH, VNC or RDP and manage user permissions.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT operations, configuration management and automation.
• Strong command‑line expertise and scripting skills (Bash, Perl, Python).
• Hands‑on experience with major Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
• Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning and package managers (apt, yum, rpm).
