Senior Key Accounts Manager – Strategic Sales

About the role

BagginsHQ is seeking a Senior Key Accounts Manager to lead strategic customer relationships across its South African portfolio. You will act as the commercial bridge between customers, sales teams, and internal departments, ensuring smooth progression from prospecting to implementation while delivering an exceptional client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own the commercial performance of an assigned portfolio and drive verified revenue growth.
• Support Enterprise Sales Executives and Sales Agents throughout the sales cycle to improve conversion rates.
• Participate in customer meetings, solution presentations, negotiations, and proposal discussions.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with strategic accounts, conducting regular reviews to uncover new opportunities.
• Coordinate onboarding and ongoing customer success, resolving escalated issues promptly.
• Identify upsell, cross‑sell, and renewal opportunities to maximize customer lifetime value.
• Coach and mentor sales team members, sharing best practices and improving overall sales performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior account management or key‑account sales within the technology sector.
• Demonstrated ability to generate, protect, and grow revenue from strategic B2B customers.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with a focus on long‑term partnership development.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, capable of influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
• Track record of collaborating across sales, delivery, and support functions to deliver seamless customer experiences.
