Senior Key Account Manager (Retail)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Key Account Manager to lead our retail partnerships for household appliances and consumer electronics in South Africa. Based in Durban, you will drive revenue growth and market share for a leading technology and distribution business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual sales plans for assigned retail accounts.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, agreements and promotional activities with retail buyers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with category managers and decision‑makers.
• Lead product launches, promotional campaigns and merchandising initiatives.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and consumer behaviour to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate on forecasting and inventory planning to ensure product availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Commerce or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of retail sales and account management experience.
• 3‑5 years in a senior sales role within household appliances, consumer electronics or durable FMCG goods.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and managing key accounts.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capabilities.
