Senior Java Backend Developer – Enterprise FinTech

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join a fast‑growing engineering team building enterprise‑grade financial technology solutions. The role is hands‑on, focused on designing scalable backend systems and contributing to modern cloud‑native architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Java backend applications.
• Build and support distributed microservices using the Spring ecosystem.
• Develop event‑driven systems with modern messaging patterns such as Kafka.
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps and Engineering teams to deliver new features.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision‑making.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability and maintainability.
• Write clean, maintainable code and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor fellow developers.
• Support production systems and resolve complex technical issues.
• Drive continuous improvement and technical best practices.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of Java backend development experience.
• At least 2 years in a senior Java developer role.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in banking, fintech or other regulated industries is advantageous.
