Senior Interior Designer – Durban

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced and creative Senior Interior Designer to lead commercial hospitality projects from concept to completion in their Durban office. The role requires a registered interior designer with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering high‑quality design solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and technical development of commercial hospitality interior projects.
• Create concept designs, space‑planning layouts, and presentation documentation.
• Produce detailed technical drawings, construction documentation, and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate projects through all phases – concept, construction, and handover.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, timelines and deliverables.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend design coordination meetings and site inspections as required.
• Ensure documentation complies with industry standards, building regulations and project requirements.
• Resolve technical design issues and provide practical solutions.
• Maintain high‑quality documentation and project records.

Required profile

• National Diploma or higher in Interior Design.
• Registered with the Institute of Interior Design (IID).

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit (essential).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
