Senior Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to lead server infrastructure demand management within a complex enterprise environment. You will work closely with business stakeholders, infrastructure teams and project managers to ensure that physical, virtual and cloud resources are planned, prioritized and delivered in line with business objectives and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and govern the end‑to‑end server infrastructure demand pipeline.
• Engage with business stakeholders to assess, prioritize and translate demand into scalable delivery plans.
• Oversee server build readiness, migrations and deployments across Windows, Linux, VMware, Azure and AWS environments.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, security and operational standards.
• Coordinate activities across multiple technical teams and maintain CMDB integrity.
• Monitor delivery against SLAs/KPIs and produce management reports on capacity, risk and performance.
• Drive ITIL best practices for Incident, Change, Problem and Release Management.
• Identify automation and continuous improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Grade 12 Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• ITIL Foundation certification (essential).
• 10‑15 years of enterprise IT infrastructure experience, with at least 5 years in complex project or service‑delivery environments.
• Proven experience managing server infrastructure across hybrid cloud (Azure and/or AWS).
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux server environments and virtualization platforms such as VMware.
• Working knowledge of ITSM tools (BMC Remedy, ServiceNow or Jira) and CMDB management.
