Senior Human Capital Business Partner & ER Lead

About the role

The Senior Human Capital Business Partner & ER Lead will lead a team of Regional Human Capital Business Partners across Sanlam Retail Mass, acting as a trusted advisor on all people matters. The role bridges business needs and human capital strategy, ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with Sanlam’s HC policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Regional Human Capital Business Partners to support talent acquisition, performance management, rewards and recognition.
• Provide strategic HR advice to business managers, influencing decisions on talent management and development.
• Drive implementation of diversity, inclusion, transformation and change programmes within the business unit.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with South African labour legislation and adherence to Sanlam HC frameworks.
• Deliver analytics, reporting and measurement for human capital activities, offering insights to business and HC leadership.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Human Capital generalist roles within a corporate, preferably insurance, environment.
• Proven change‑agent experience supporting transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of South African labour legislation, Employment Equity and related compliance requirements.
• Business and financial acumen with the ability to partner effectively with senior managers.
