Senior HCBP and ER Lead – Coastal

About the role

This senior position leads a team of Regional Human Capital Business Partners, supporting multiple regions within Sanlam Retail Mass on all human capital matters. The role bridges business needs with HR strategy, ensuring compliance and effective talent management.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on all people matters.
• Support talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, rewards and recognition.
• Promote awareness and adherence to Sanlam’s people strategy, policies and frameworks.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all HR practices.
• Drive change and transformation programmes, acting as a change champion.
• Oversee HC reporting, analytics and measurement for the business unit.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a Human Capital generalist in a corporate setting, preferably insurance, covering talent acquisition, performance management, learning & development, and employee relations.
• Proven track record as a change agent supporting transformation initiatives.
• Solid understanding of South African labour legislation, including Employment Equity, Labour Relations and Skills Development.
• Strong business and financial acumen to partner effectively with business units.
• Experience working in matrix organisations with strong influencing and networking capabilities.
