About the Role

We are seeking a highly dynamic and seasoned Group HR Executive to spearhead the human resources strategy within a fast-paced FMCG environment. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker who combines high-level vision with exceptional operational execution, particularly in Employee and Industrial Relations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Group HR strategy aligned with global business objectives.
  • Lead and oversee Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) functions across the entire group.
  • Act as the primary interlocutor for labor unions, managing wage negotiations, collective bargaining, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure strict compliance with South African labor legislation and industry best practices.
  • Provide strategic advisory to the executive leadership team on organizational matters.
  • Supervise disciplinary processes, grievance management, and CCMA cases.
  • Drive organizational development, workforce planning, and talent management initiatives.
  • Manage HR policies, procedures, and large-scale transformation projects across multiple sites.

Candidate Profile

  • University degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8 to 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior/executive leadership position.
  • Proven track record within the FMCG sector.
  • Extensive experience in union negotiations and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Deep expertise in ER/IR and handling complex disciplinary matters and CCMA proceedings.
  • In-depth knowledge of South African labor law.
