About the role
The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment is seeking a Senior Forestry Development Officer to support greening programmes and sustainable forest management in Kimberley. The role involves advising on livelihood projects and implementing forest enterprise initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on greening programmes.
- Support livelihood and forestry enterprise projects.
- Implement sustainable forest management.
Required profile
- National Diploma (NQF 6) in Forestry or Development Studies.
- At least 2 years experience in forestry development or extension.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
- Knowledge of the National Forest Act and Veld and Forest Fire Act.
