Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst will act as a strategic finance partner for communications, marketing and other functional teams within a global, mission‑driven nonprofit. Working remotely in a multicultural, distributed environment, you will translate complex financial data into clear insights that guide resource allocation, investment decisions and program priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning for assigned functional teams.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and KPI tracking.
• Communicate financial information through clear narratives and recommendations for non‑finance stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner, supporting leaders through planning cycles and investment decisions.
• Monitor performance, flag potential adjustments and drive process improvements.
• Provide financial analysis, business cases and scenario modeling for cross‑functional projects and major initiatives.
• Present insights to managers, program owners and senior executives.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in financial analysis, planning and reporting.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Experience working independently in a remote‑first, multicultural environment.
• Strong analytical expertise with a focus on strategic decision‑making.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations for non‑finance audiences.
