Senior Financial Accountant – Mining Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Johannesburg East, supporting a mining operation. You will combine technical accounting expertise with commercial insight to drive performance, maintain strong controls, and enable strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly financial results and management accounts.
• Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end accounting processes.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational decisions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements, audits, and statutory reporting.

Required profile

• BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance (essential).
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (essential).
• Minimum 2 years post‑articles experience.
• Relevant mining industry experience.

Required skills

• Strong exposure to ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.

What we offer
