Senior Finance & Operations Manager

About the role

This is a broad, hands‑on position within an established food production, processing and distribution business. The role is split across two sites – three days a week in Krugersdorp and two days in Pretoria East – and is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how the business works, not just reporting on results.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial reporting, management accounts and performance analysis.
• Oversee cash flow, budgeting, payments, balance‑sheet and income‑statement controls.
• Manage inventory processes, stock takes, valuations and stock variances.
• Analyse production gains and losses, purchase‑price variances and stock movements.
• Maintain and improve standard costing, product costing and related ERP processes.
• Strengthen financial and operational controls across the business.
• Improve finance, administration and operational systems.
• Provide financial insight to management and operational teams and support audits, tax and statutory reporting.

Required profile

• 5–10 years post‑articles experience with strong financial and operational finance background.
• Experience in inventory‑heavy environments such as manufacturing or production.
• Relevant accounting or finance qualification and completed articles; CIMA (CGMA) candidate preferred.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans and comfortable working across two sites.
• Ability to work three days in Krugersdorp and two days in Pretoria East.
