Senior Employee Benefits Broker Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Employee Benefits Broker Consultant to join Old Mutual in Johannesburg. The role links our industry‑leading employee benefits solutions with corporate clients through a network of specialist consultants and brokers.

Key responsibilities

• Promote Old Mutual’s employee benefits products and brand to intermediaries and corporate clients.
• Develop and execute strategies and account plans for intermediaries, reviewing their performance regularly.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contracted intermediaries within the assigned portfolio.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to drive sustainable portfolio growth.
• Provide product‑related advice and support to intermediaries, ensuring they understand our offerings.
• Maintain accurate CRM records for all deals, both open and closed.
• Achieve new‑business targets set at the start of each year and identify cross‑selling and upselling opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing corporate consultants or employee‑benefits intermediaries.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through individual effort.
• Strong relationship‑building and account‑management capabilities.
• Ability to analyse market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Excellent communication skills and thorough knowledge of employee benefits solutions.
