Senior Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

The Senior Cyber Security Analyst will be based at Life Healthcare Group's Head Office and report to the Head of Cyber Security. The role focuses on identifying, assessing and mitigating cyber‑risk across the organisation’s networks, systems and applications, with a strong emphasis on vulnerability management, penetration testing and proactive incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the enterprise vulnerability management programme across infrastructure, endpoints, applications, databases, cloud environments and internet‑facing assets.
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans using tools such as Qualys, Tenable or Rapid7 and analyse results to prioritise remediation based on severity, exploitability and business impact.
• Validate findings to reduce false positives, collaborate with technical teams to remediate vulnerabilities and track progress against service‑level agreements.
• Maintain dashboards, remediation trackers, risk exception registers and provide executive‑level reporting.
• Perform or coordinate web application and API security scanning (e.g., Qualys WAS), assess findings against the OWASP Top 10 and work with developers to remediate.
• Identify recurring weaknesses, root causes and recommend long‑term control improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in vulnerability management, penetration testing and network security.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret scan results and prioritize remediation actions.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with infrastructure, application and cloud teams.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
