Senior Customer Sales & Service Agent

About the role

Emirates is hiring a Senior Customer Sales & Service Agent in Johannesburg. The agent sells Emirates airline tickets and services, helps customers manage their travel plans and supports the Customer Service & Sales team and its Team Leader. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Sell Emirates tickets and related products, identify customer needs through rapport building and promote all Emirates products.
• Issue tickets while applying airline rules and regulations, and inform customers about passport, visa, health requirements, check-in place and time.
• Promote revenue-generating options such as Skywards membership, amendments, DBB, Dubai stopovers, hotel bookings and upgraded fares to meet sales targets.
• Support travel agents with bookings, special arrangements, fare quoting and ticketing formalities.
• Handle complex enquiries such as medical cases and special services, and deputise for the Team Leader in their absence.
• Act as the first point of contact for complex bookings and challenging customer interactions.

Required profile

• Educated to at least Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Experience in a contact centre or reservations office within the airline or travel industry.
• Eligibility to live and work in South Africa.

Required skills

• Knowledge of contact centre and airline/travel procedures.
• Fares, ticketing, Skywards and reservation systems.
• PC skills with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail.
