About the role

We are seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join a leading financial institution in South Africa. The role involves evaluating creditworthiness, managing risk exposure, and supporting the growth of the wholesale and investment banking portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed credit analysis for corporate and business banking clients.
• Assess financial statements, cash flow projections, and market conditions to determine credit risk.
• Monitor and manage an existing credit portfolio, ensuring compliance with risk policies.
• Prepare credit proposals and present findings to senior management.
• Collaborate with relationship managers to structure appropriate financing solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in credit analysis.
• At least 2 years within wholesale, investment, or business banking.
• Strong understanding of finance, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in portfolio and risk management.
