Senior Contracts Manager (Renewable Energy)

About the role

Our client, a professional project services firm in the renewable energy sector, is looking for a Senior Contracts Manager to lead the full contract lifecycle for major projects. The role combines commercial acumen with rigorous contract governance to support successful project delivery and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and administer project contracts in line with client requirements and company policies.
• Manage contract execution, amendments, change orders, variations and claims throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
• Support dispute resolution and claims management through detailed contractual analysis.
• Act as the primary client contact for contractual matters and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, corporate governance and audit standards.
• Maintain accurate contract records and reporting.
• Assist tender submissions by reviewing commercial terms, risks and pricing strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement in contract management processes.
• Mentor and develop contract management professionals and support resource planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Commerce, Business or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in contract management or commercial roles within project‑driven industries.
• Extensive experience negotiating and administering complex contracts and commercial claims.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, FIDIC and bespoke contract forms.
• Excellent understanding of contract law, commercial risk management and project delivery.
