Senior C#/.NET Application Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Application Developer to join an insurance client in Johannesburg. The role is full‑time, office‑based and starts as a six‑month contract with the potential to become permanent based on performance and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable C#/.NET applications.
• Build and enhance ASP.NET MVC and Web Forms solutions.
• Create and integrate RESTful Web APIs and SOAP services.
• Design, optimise and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, stored procedures and SSRS reports.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers and QA teams to deliver high‑quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards and resolve performance issues.
• Support deployments using Azure DevOps pipelines and produce technical documentation.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience developing enterprise applications with Microsoft technologies.
• Proven ability to work independently and with cross‑functional teams.
