Senior Buyer Assistant – Furniture

About the role

Hertex Fabrics is seeking a Senior Buyer Assistant to support the furniture buying process. The role involves coordinating supplier relationships, managing documentation, and ensuring smooth product flow from sampling to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the end‑to‑end furniture buying process, maintaining up‑to‑date product cycle documents.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Handle sampling logistics, track parcels, and keep sample areas organized.
• Oversee product artwork creation, label requirements, and coordination with marketing.
• Support the Products department with documentation, specifications, and goods‑in‑transit tracking.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) – advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Buyer’s Assistant at a senior level.
• Strong attention to detail, highly structured and accurate work style.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast‑paced environment.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
