Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst

About the role

The Senior BI Data Analyst is responsible for analysing data, developing BI solutions, and delivering insights that support business decision‑making. The role requires strong SQL and coding skills, experience with SQL Server and Azure data platforms, and the ability to transform complex data into actionable information.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Design and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Support Azure‑based data and analytics solutions.
• Apply statistical analysis and predictive modelling techniques to business problems.
• Ensure data accuracy, quality, and governance standards.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in data analysis/BI with strong SQL Server and T‑SQL development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field; Matric essential.
• Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Fabric, and Databricks; insurance experience is advantageous.
