Senior Backend Software Engineer – Ledger Reporting

About the role

BVNK is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to own and evolve the Reporting & Customer Reconciliation sub‑domain of its Ledger platform. This critical‑path work will enable transparent, programmatic financial reporting for both internal teams and BVNK’s enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and continuously improve the Reporting Service that generates standardized financial reports from ledger data across products, currencies, and rails.
• Ensure accurate representation of positions, balances, and movements for Finance, Risk, Operations, and customers.
• Re‑architect reporting workflows to support a 100% self‑serve customer experience, allowing invoice reconciliation, charge auditing, and automated close processes.
• Collaborate within an autonomous squad, making strong technical decisions and delivering solutions quickly yet sustainably.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a backend software engineer, preferably in fintech or financial services.
• Ability to work on critical‑path features with a focus on reliability and data integrity.
• Comfortable forming strong opinions, advocating simple solutions, and executing in a fast‑paced environment.
