Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to design, build and maintain robust Azure environments for our clients, primarily in the financial services sector. The role blends infrastructure, security, networking and platform expertise while collaborating closely with development teams on migration and modernization projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support Azure landing zones, hub‑and‑spoke networks and multi‑subscription architectures.
• Configure VNets, NSGs, route tables, VPN/ExpressRoute, private endpoints and DNS.
• Apply governance using Management Groups, Azure Policy, RBAC, resource locks and tagging standards.
• Manage identity and access with Azure IAM, Microsoft Entra ID, PIM and Azure Key Vault.
• Deploy and optimise Azure services such as VMs, App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage, SQL, Cosmos DB, Monitor, Log Analytics, Backup and Site Recovery.
• Support cost‑optimization, resiliency, scalability and security‑posture remediation.
• Partner with development teams during cloud migrations and workload modernization.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑native and traditional application patterns.
• Ability to design secure, scalable and well‑governed Azure environments.
• Experience working in regulated, enterprise‑level environments.
