Senior Auditor

About the role

Rakoma and Associates Inc. is seeking a Senior Auditor to lead audit engagements from their Willow Wood Office Park in Fourways. The role involves managing audit teams, ensuring compliance, and delivering high‑quality audit reports for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee the entire auditing process.
• Allocate tasks to junior and staff auditors and review their work for accuracy.
• Conduct risk and control assessments and ensure audits are completed on schedule.
• Prepare and present audit findings, recommendations and corrective actions to senior management.
• Coordinate periodic audits and support tender preparation.
• Travel to other regions as required to conduct assignments.
• Perform external audit‑related administrative tasks as assigned by the Partner.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting, Auditing or Finance.
• Completed articles with an external audit firm.
• At least 1 year experience reviewing supply‑chain procedures.
• Minimum 1 year experience in AFS preparation and audit support.
• Familiarity with MFMA or PFMA is an advantage.

Required skills

• CaseWare (AFS and fixed‑assets register preparation).
• Pastel Partner accounting system.
• Knowledge of MFMA and PFMA regulations.
