About the role

We are seeking a Senior Analyst Developer to join a leading financial institution in Johannesburg. The role focuses on modernising the payment infrastructure, delivering high‑quality Java‑based solutions, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure application components using Java and related technologies.
• Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Contribute to scalable solution architecture aligned with enterprise standards and security frameworks.
• Provide second‑ and third‑line support to maintain a 98% SLA for critical payment systems.
• Perform unit testing, peer reviews, and support user‑acceptance testing cycles.
• Create and maintain technical runbooks, deployment documents, and release notes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior developer or analyst in the financial services sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to bridge business and IT requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality code under tight deadlines.
