Senior Analyst Developer (12-Month Contract)

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Analyst Developer to join a large‑scale Payment Ecosystem Modernisation Programme. The role combines business analysis with hands‑on software development to build, maintain and enhance critical national payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to capture and translate requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Design scalable, maintainable enterprise applications and produce technical design documentation.
• Develop, test and maintain enterprise payment applications, including new functionality and system enhancements.
• Support IBM MQ integrations and web‑based components, resolve defects and production incidents.
• Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), handling test defects and ensuring quality standards.
• Provide second‑ and third‑line production support, incident resolution and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, deployment guides and release notes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in both business analysis and software development within large enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of payment systems or similar high‑transaction platforms.
• Ability to produce clear functional and technical specifications and to communicate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience delivering solutions that adhere to enterprise architecture standards and security best practices.
