Senior Accountant – Multi‑Entity Finance Management

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join a dynamic healthcare‑focused organisation. The role will oversee the full accounting function across several entities, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping up to trial balance for multiple entities.
• Capture all financial transactions and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and tenant lease administration.
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE and UIF returns, ensuring SARS compliance.
• Process payroll accurately, maintain employee records and manage payroll deductions.
• Generate monthly tenant invoices and monitor rental income.
• Coordinate travel arrangements for medical representatives and reconcile fleet card statements.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end financial reporting and support the Chartered Accountant.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of proven accounting and finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and statutory compliance.
• Professional, ethical approach with strong leadership and independent work capability.
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Xero, Sage Online, Pastel Partner and SimplePay.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with online banking platforms such as FNB and Standard Bank.
