Senior Accountant / Bookkeeper (Remote, US MST)

About the role

We are seeking a senior finance professional to lead accounting and reporting for a fast‑growing restaurant group. Working remotely on US Mountain Time, you will transform basic bookkeeping into investor‑ready financials that support debt and equity fundraising.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting in QuickBooks Online, including daily categorisation, reconciliations and month‑end close for multiple locations.
• Produce weekly performance dashboards in Google Sheets to monitor unit‑level profitability.
• Develop 3‑12 month rolling forecasts, analyse budget‑vs‑actual variances and advise on expansion decisions.
• Prepare polished financial statements and pitch decks for banks and investors.
• Oversee AP/AR, sales‑tax filings and reconcile deliveries from Uber Eats, DoorDash and catering invoices.
• Leverage AI tools and API‑driven dashboards to improve forecasting accuracy, e.g., integrating weather data.

Required profile

• Proven experience in restaurant/hospitality accounting, including COGS and delivery‑platform reconciliations.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Self‑starter who can work independently in a fully remote environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Expert use of Google Suite, especially Google Sheets.
• Financial modelling and forecasting.
• Experience with AI tools for financial analysis.
• Familiarity with API‑driven dashboards.
