Semi-Skilled Mechanic (Heavy Vehicles & Equipment)

About the role

Farm Manager SA is seeking a Semi‑Skilled Mechanic to join its team in the Malalane area, Mpumalanga Province. The successful candidate will provide hands‑on mechanical support for heavy commercial vehicles, transport fleets, and a range of industrial and agricultural machinery used in logistics, sugarcane haulage, mill‑yard operations, and farming.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on diesel engines, air and hydraulic brake systems, suspension, steering and driveline components.
• Support heavy equipment operations, including loaders and excavators.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness, safety standards, and compliance documentation.
• Record maintenance activities, track parts usage, and generate service reports.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, workshop operations, or equipment servicing.
• Proven experience servicing loader excavators.
• Valid driver’s licence (Code 8 B) and ability to work shifts, overtime, weekends and public holidays.
