Security Officer (Level X4) – Rustenburg

About the role

Icebolethu Group is looking for a vigilant and professional Security Officer (Level X4) to protect its Rustenburg premises, employees, visitors and assets. The role requires a strong visible presence, active surveillance and rapid response to incidents to maintain a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entry/exit for visitors and vehicles, and conduct regular foot patrols to secure all exits, doors and windows.
• Check CCTV systems and operate communication equipment to identify security breaches or unlawful acts.
• Respond quickly to alarms, investigate suspicious activities, assist people in distress and manage security situations calmly.
• Remove trespassers and detain perpetrators in line with legal protocols until law enforcement arrives.
• Maintain daily logs, record occurrences and produce clear incident reports for management.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Valid PSIRA registration/certification.
• Minimum 2 years proven experience as a Security Guard or Officer.
• Physical fitness with certification in self‑defence and First Aid/Basic Life Support.
• Residency in or around Rustenburg and ability to provide recent employment references.
• Successful completion of background, criminal and credit checks.

• Operation of CCTV surveillance systems.
• Use of security communication equipment.
