Security Monitoring and Triage Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Security Monitoring & Triage Specialist to join our cybersecurity operations team on a 5‑month contract. The role focuses on proactive threat hunting, validating incidents, and monitoring alerts through our SIEM platform.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM tools.
• Conduct threat‑hunting investigations and validate potential incidents.
• Tri­age security alerts, differentiate false positives from genuine threats, and escalate critical findings.
• Collaborate with the SOC team to improve detection rules and response processes.
• Document investigation steps and outcomes for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) with a focus on monitoring, threat hunting, and incident response.
• 3‑year degree in an IT‑related field.
• Relevant certifications such as SC‑401 and CompTIA CySA+.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in KQL (Kusto Query Language).
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms and security alert triage.
• Practical knowledge of threat hunting techniques and incident response workflows.
