SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Manager

About the role

Accenture's Reinvention Services team in Midrand is looking for an experienced SAP SuccessFactors EC Payroll Lead at Manager level. You will act as the principal Functional Subject Matter Expert for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll and SAP HCM Payroll, leading end-to-end delivery or defined components of complex payroll transformation engagements. You will meet operational, contractual and financial commitments while ensuring service quality, stakeholder alignment and opportunities for follow-on value.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary SME for EC Payroll and HCM Payroll, validating requirements, configurations and workflows with client stakeholders
• Lead end-to-end delivery or a defined component of a contract, meeting all commitments
• Define detailed functional and technical specifications, proof of concepts, solution estimates and conceptual designs
• Analyse and refine payroll business processes, drive continuous improvement and propose scalable solutions
• Engage with client business leads, HR Directors, Finance and project sponsors, manage expectations and identify follow-on value, up-selling or cross-selling
• Support change management and contribute to the growth of the SAP SuccessFactors Payroll practice
• Take accountability for team decisions, mentor team members and guide the delivery team

Required profile

• Proven hands-on experience in HR Payroll, SAP HCM Payroll and/or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, IT, Business Administration or a related field; postgraduate qualification advantageous
• SAP SuccessFactors certification in Employee Central Payroll and/or SAP HCM Payroll (required); additional modules advantageous
• Demonstrated experience in a client-facing consulting or advisory role within a global systems integrator or professional services firm
• Track record of leading or co-leading full-cycle SAP Payroll implementations from blueprint through go-live and hypercare
• Manager-level experience, including delivery accountability, team leadership and senior stakeholder management
• Knowledge of South African statutory payroll requirements (PAYE, UIF, SDL, ETI) and the SADC landscape strongly advantageous
• Experience migrating payroll from on-premises SAP HCM to cloud-based EC Payroll advantageous

Required skills

• Expert proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll and SAP HCM Payroll, including payroll control centre, off-cycle processing, wage types and statutory compliance
• Advanced proficiency in Employee Central data model, foundation objects, position management and EC-to-Payroll integration
• Requirements gathering, functional and technical specification writing, solution design and proof of concept development
• Business process analysis, change management, stakeholder engagement and foundational data analytics
