Salesperson – Service Business

About the role

As cities become more complex, the need for smooth urban flow grows. KONE is looking for an energetic Salesperson – Service Business to join its Johannesburg office, reporting to the National Sales Manager – Service Business. The role focuses on selling annual recurring service contracts and modernization solutions, converting leads into customers, and driving sales to meet targets.

Key responsibilities

• Build and grow customer relationships in the assigned area.
• Strengthen KONE’s market position and share leads with the sales team.
• Manage customer complaints and ensure satisfaction.
• Update and maintain customer and contact details.
• Identify new sales opportunities beyond existing customers.
• Prepare and manage requests for quotes (RFQs).
• Achieve sales goals for leads, orders, and contracts while adhering to pricing targets.
• Ensure KONE solutions match customer needs and set appropriate prices and discounts.
• Track all sales activities, maintain accurate CRM reports, and collect market and competitor information.
• Assist finance with payment collection and follow personal sales plan.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years of technical experience in the elevator/escalator industry or related construction/building materials sector.
• Proven track record in solution‑selling and selling complex technology solutions.
• Highly motivated, goal‑oriented self‑starter with strong commercial acumen.
• Fluency in English.
• A diploma or higher qualification is advantageous.
