Sales Operations Manager

About the role

The Sales Operations Manager will lead national execution standards for a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) company that sells nicotine products, including vapes. This hands‑on role requires frequent field visits, audits, and close collaboration with sales, logistics, finance and operations teams to ensure flawless execution across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce national execution standards covering call coverage, distribution, shelf compliance and promotions.
• Conduct regular in‑field audits at stores, depots and distribution centres, identifying gaps and driving corrective actions.
• Maintain a national execution scorecard and KPI reporting process; lead weekly execution reviews and daily activity checks.
• Hold Regional Sales Managers and field teams accountable to agreed standards.
• Identify and resolve CRM, call‑planning, reporting and process gaps that affect sales execution.
• Work with Logistics, Operations and Finance to address stock, delivery, pricing and account‑level issues.
• Provide weekly compliance, risk and corrective‑action reports to senior leadership.
• Support continuity of national sales operations and potentially progress into national sales leadership.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work directly in the field and solve operational problems on the ground.
• Comfortable holding teams accountable without relying solely on hierarchical reporting.
• Experience in FMCG or similar high‑velocity consumer product environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
