Sales & Marketing Internship (12‑month)

About the role

This 12‑month Sales & Marketing Internship supports a leading distributor of global brands. You will work closely with the senior key accounts manager and marketing team to help drive brand awareness, manage administrative tasks, and engage with customers and influencers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely administration, including master data changes and daily marketing tracker updates.
• Monitor marketing, communication and promotional spend; raise purchase orders and follow through to payment.
• Maintain product master data, list new items, and ensure data accuracy.
• Create trade presentations, sales briefs, and coordinate responses to customer complaints and queries.
• Pull product samples from the warehouse and provide ad‑hoc administrative support as needed.
• Implement the social media strategy to build brand awareness and loyalty, collaborating on content plans for promotions and campaigns.
• Manage social media communities, respond to questions/comments, and track customer feedback.
• Support influencer partnerships and community outreach, identifying suitable influencers within budget.

Required profile

• South African citizen.
• Currently unemployed.
• Did not participate in Youth Employment Services (Yes‑4‑Youth) in the past eight months.
• Under 34 years of age.
