Sales Manager - Weddings, Events & Villas

About the role

Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate, in Walker Bay near Hermanus, is looking for a hands-on Sales Manager to own every enquiry and actively create new business. The role reports directly to the owner and is hybrid between the estate, Cape Town and home. You will sell weddings, corporate events, conferences, sporting events and upsell villa stays, taking each client from first contact to a signed booking.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to every enquiry within the same working day and follow each one until a decision is reached
• Build and run the corporate and conferencing channel, from prospecting to close
• Manage all inbound revenue across weddings, corporate events, sporting events, general events and villas
• Sell the full estate on every booking: accommodation, wine and bar packages, food, activities and extras
• Negotiate prices for bar and food while protecting margins
• Represent the estate at industry shows
• Keep the CRM (Vtiger) up to date so every lead is logged and every follow-up scheduled
• Report weekly on pipeline, conversion, revenue closed and average spend per booking
• Work with the events, restaurant, villa and marketing teams to deliver what you sell

Required profile

• Proven record of closing business in hospitality, events, MICE, wine-estate or corporate sales
• Track record of growing deal value through upselling and cross-selling
• Existing relationships with corporate buyers or event planners
• Disciplined admin and follow-up so no lead goes cold
• Willingness to travel and to provide your own transport

• Daily use of AI tools and comfort with CRM and sales systems
• Confidence in negotiating, pitching and cold-calling
