Sales Manager / Verkoopsbestuurder

About the role

Our client, a well‑established South African brand renowned for locally manufactured, high‑quality products and exceptional customer service, is looking for a proactive Sales Manager (Verkoopsbestuurder) to lead its Rustenburg showroom. The role combines sales target achievement, team leadership and the upkeep of an inviting retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed monthly sales, quotation and lay‑by targets.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to generate repeat business.
• Ensure the showroom is clean, organised and visually appealing at all times.
• Lead, motivate and develop the sales team to reach peak performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues and management to deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor stock levels and provide accurate reporting.
• Manage administrative and operational tasks related to sales.
• Maintain effective communication with the head office.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate / Matric.
• 5–10 years of sales experience, preferably outside clothing retail.
• Experience in furniture, motor or insurance/policy sales is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven capability to lead, motivate and develop a high‑performance team.
• Good administrative skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Professional demeanour with a strong customer‑service ethic.
• Own transport and a valid driver’s licence (preferred).
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and time‑management.
• Highly motivated, self‑driven and accountable.
